Prompted by the movie “boys don’t cry”, which was screened for the course “law and cinema” (Instructor: Lina Papadopoulou) and which deals with the true story of Bradon Teena, a female-to-male trans, this paper deals with the institutionalization of equal treatment and human rights in the european law and, in particular, the treatment of trans people by
the case law and the laws against discrimination.
