The 2012 Parliamentary Elections in Greece constitute a case-study in many respects. This paper attempts to analyze the subject from different angles, so as to show its legal, political, systemic and ethical dimensions. Overall, the paper deals with the wider questions of democracy, legitimacy and accountability on national and EU level during times of crisis. The paper supports the view that these Elections were pure evidence of the political -more than financial– crisis that both Greece and Europe are currently facing.
